DAY 1: SAIGON ARRIVAL ( D )
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhut airport, group will be picked up by CAFE KIM tour guidel and transfer to hotel in the center of city. Welcome dinner - Overnight in Saigon
DAY 2: SAIGON CITY & CUCHI TUNNELS ( B,L )
The sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City begins with Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the Southern Vietnam President until end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. We also visit War Remnant Museum before continuing to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where handy craft, laquer ware and more on sales! The morning will end with a beautiful Vietnamese authentic lunch at a Vietnam’s possible best Pho (rice-noodle soup with beef or chicken) restaurant, Pho Hoa. After lunch we drive Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network of approximately 200 km constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation and schools, which were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the Vietnam War. O/N in Saigon
DAY 3: SAIGON - MYTHO - CAN THO ( B,L )
Start from hotel at 8 am. Upon arrival at My Tho, cruising along small creek to Mekong River estuary, to Con Phung (Phoenix Island) and stop over a garden restaurant at a local house for Vietnamese lunch. The motorized boat cruise more along natural creeks and quiet village in Ben Tre Province. Visit orchards, bee - keeping farm, taste natural honey and honey wine, enjoy tropical fruit, traditional music, see round a distillery, explore the local coconut candy production process, taste candy & coconut pulp. Then transferring to Can Tho. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Can Tho
DAY 4: PHONG DIEN & CAI RANG FLOATING MARKETS - SAIGON ( B,L )
6:00am - take a very early boat trip to visit the unique and stunning floating markets of Phong Dien and Cai Rang. What you need to do is to sit back on your boat, enjoy the morning coffee served by the local coffee boat and watch the whole world of trading going on from boats to boats. Phong Dien is smaller in scale and is more of a retailed one while Cai Rang is bigger and is more of a wholesaled one. If you are fruit lovers, go for the freshest ones here at these markets. As our boat edges through the market, you will be surely driven back to the yester-centuries by the sound of bargaining, rowing, motoring mixed with the sound from the coffee boat, meat boat, grocery boat, ice boats…. Saying goodbye to Phong Dien floating market, our boat will speed up through many channels of the Mekong River stretching along rural villages and arrive in Cai Rang floating market (3 km from Can Tho)- it is much bigger and is more of wholesale market with many more big and motored boats. And this will complete a special picture of around a million floating traders in this region who have been happily living a floating life and earn their living on some 50,000km of waterways in the Mekong Delta. Back to your hotel for a late breakfast, have a short rest, check out and head off for Saigon (170km) with breaks en route for a short visit to a local Cao Dai Temple at Cai Lay town and witness the Noon Ceremony and try out a hammock café along the highway 1 - Service ends at your hotel in Saigon at around 15:30pm
DAY 5: SAIGON - DALAT ( B )
Scenic drive from Ho Chi Minh City to the central highland resort of Da Lat. En route stop at rubber, tea and coffee plantations. A visit to a silk-making business is optional. Upon arrival in Da Lat, visit Prenn waterfall and enjoy a brief view of the city by horse-drawn cart. It is your time to visit Da Lat - "the jewels of Highland". Have dinner on your own and overnight in Da Lat.
DAY 6: DALAT FULL DAY CITY TOUR ( B,L )
Our tour guide and driver will meet your at your hotel at 8 am for a city tour to include the Summer Palace of the last emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai. This palace was built in 1933 in the Art Deco style and contains many artefacts from the French occupation period. Also stop at the Hang Nga “Crazy House” - a guesthouse built in an unusual architectural style unique in Vietnam and comparable to the works of the Spanish artist Antonio Gaudi. Continue on to visit a Zen Buddhist monk cum artist with the opportunity to purchase some of his works. Afterwards take a drive around the Xuan Huong Lake in the centre of Dalat to admire the architecture of this former French Hill Station. In the afternoon drive 12km’s to the north of Dalat to “Lat Village”. Most of the inhabitants of this village are from the “Lat” ethnic minority (this is where Dalat derives its name) but the village also includes members of the Koho, Ma and Chill ethnic minority groups - each speaking a different dialect. Here you will have the opportunity to observe the traditional way of life for the hilltribe people and, if you like, purchase some of their traditional handicrafts before returning to your hotel
DAY 7: DALAT - NHATRANG ( B )
Morning visit the Da Lat Flower Garden and the X.Q. embroidery village before departing for Nha Trang. The land way from Da Lat to Nha Trang (205km) is very sight worthy and photogenic with pinewoods, waterfalls, farms of tea and coffee, "Ngoan Muc" Pass - "the Picturesque Pass". Have lunch break overlooking the magnificent Danhim Reservoir, and enjoy the spectacular view of the ancient tower Po Klong Garai built by the Cham nation in Phan Rang - Thap Cham, 101km from Da Lat. Reach the long sandy beach with emerald water of Nha Trang in the afternoon and relax at the beach of Nha Trang . Overnight in Nha Trang
DAY 8: NHA TRANG ISLAND TOUR ( B,L )
8:00 Am. Pick up and Start from your hotel to Cau Da port. Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island is the first place to visit, many sea species of Nha Trang/Khanh Hoa province make a small ocean world there. Mun Island is the best island for snorkeling where you can see lots of lives colorful corals and fish. Visit a fishing village and taking a fresh lunch at the island. On the way back you will be able to see caves in which the sea swallows make their nest
DAY 9 : FLIGHT NHATRANG – DANANG / DRIVE TO HOIAN ( B,L )
On arrival Danang, your first visit today is the Cham Museum. Founded in 1915, this collection of Cham sculpture is the finest in the world. Pass along China beach, 7 km of white and soft sand where American soldiers come for R&R during war time. Proceed to The Marble Mountains, 5 limestone hills carved by rainwater housing grottoes, pagodas and temples dedicated to Buddhist, Confucian and Taoists divinities. Continue to Hoi An, a riverside town 30 km south of Da Nang that was one of South East Asia’s major international ports during the 18th and 19th century. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An
DAY 10 : HOI AN ( B,L )
Morning walking tour of the Ancient Town, one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The visit includes stops at HoiAn Museum, PhucKien Communal House, Japanese Covered Bridge and an Old Vietnamese House, still inhabited by the descendants of the first settlers, and a local artist studio. In the afternoon take a boat trip on Thu Bon river to visit the boat building and carpenter village of Kim Bong and Thanh Ha. Here you have a chance to talk and interact with the local people.
DAY 11 : HOIAN - MY SON - HUE ( B,L )
Morning visit to the archaeological site of MySon, Vietnam’s most important center the ancient kingdom of Champa and a Unesco World Heritage site. Stop for lunch. Then proceed to Hue, stopping at the top of HaiVan Pass to watch the beautiful bay of DaNang with Non Nuoc beach underneath. Arrival in the evening, check-in hotel in Hue
DAY 12 : HUE ( B,L )
Breakfast in hotel, then transfer to Royal Tombs area to visit TuDuc Mausoleum. Walk to Tuan market and board a dragon boat to Minh Mang tomb, one of the less visited due to its distance from the city, but probably the most remarkable. Back to Hue city on Perfume River. Stop along the way to visit ThienMu pagoda, a symbol of Hue. Here, we can stroll around the gardens in the pagoda. Disembark and commute to a minibus for visiting the Imperial Citadel, built in 1805 during the reign of Emperor Gia Long on the model of Beijing’s Forbidden City. On the way back to hotel, end the day with a stroll to the bustling Dong Ba market.
DAY 13 : FLIGHT HUE - HANOI ( B )
Free until transfer to flight to Hanoi. On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. Ha Noi , Vietnam's capital, is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some Asia ‘s most striking colonial architecture. The many lakes and parks make for relaxing atmosphere. If time permits we enjoy an hour cyclo excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Overnight in Ha Noi.
DAY 14: HANOI - LAO CAI ( B,L,D )
This morning we enjoy a half day city tour starting with the Ba Dinh Square. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of Hanoi. We follow this with a trip to the Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university and the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem. After lunch we walking through the bustling Old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places for shopping. We will see an evening performance of Hanoi's famous water puppets before transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for a night train to Lao Cai. DAY 15: LAO CAI – SAPA ( B,L,D )
The train arrives in Lao Cai at early morning, have breakfast at Lao Cai station before driving up to Sapa, at an elevation of 1,500 meters, Sapa was once a hill resort of French administrators when the summer heat became unbearable. The remoteness and the simple lifestyle of ethnic minority people are a highlight of Sa Pa although conditions are basic. After lunch at local restaurant and a short rest we visit we enjoy a short trekking up to visit the HAM RONG MOUNTAIN, where rare orchids and flowers, enjoy the minorities show performed by the young minority ladies and man, Cat cat village, home of H’mong hill tribe. Overnight in Sapa
DAY 16: SAPA – LAO CAI – HANOI - HALONG BAY ( B,L,D )
After breakfast this morning we continue to explore Sapa with charm, visit Lao Chai and Ta Van village where H’mong and Dzay people living. We will take a drive on a beautiful landscapes leading us to these villages and heading off main road to explore…Late afternoon return to Lao Cai train station for overnight train to Hanoi. Overnight on train (Cabin of 04 persons with air conditioning).
DAY 17: HANOI - HALONG ( L,D )
Arrive Hanoi early morning, Having breakfast at local restaurant. Then departl to Halong Bay. Pass through rural landscape before arriving in the afternoon to the world heritage site of Halong Bay. On arrival check in hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the town. Overnight in Halong
DAY 18: HALONG BAY – HANOI ( B,L,D )
This morning we embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong bay. This exciting five hour cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. After a seafood lunch on board we return to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 19: HANOI - DEPARTURES ( B )
Free time for shopping or exploring Hanoi. The trip will end after transfer to Noi Bai Airport
